This beautiful mittens pattern is part of the Winter Warmer's collection and has been created by OneHandKnits especially for The Yarn Cafe. It is available as an online download. This pattern is suitable for experienced knitters and is rated as moderately difficult. The mittens have a flip flop design, so can be worn as fingerless or full mittens. The cabled cuff is worked back and forth first and then joined with a plaited glove which is worked in the round with a thumb gusset. The pattern has been designed for one size (25cm or 10 inches long and up to 23 cm or 9 inches wide around the widest part of the hand), but can be resized. There are comprehensive instructions together with charts for the design. The pattern can also be purchased with the matching cowl and beret - the full set of patterns costs £7.00.
The pattern is downloadable in pdf format and can be viewed using Adobe pdf reader. A copy of this software is available at http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/. Images have been provided by OneHandKnits.
