This beautiful sock pattern has been created by OneHandKnits especially for The Yarn Cafe and is available as an online download. This pretty ankle sock pattern is suitable for experienced knitters and is rated as moderately difficult and is quick to knit. It features a modified Candle Tree motif on the foot, a large flame motif on the heel and a rising smoke lace pattern (that is quite elastic) on the ankle.
The sock is knitted from the toe up with a heel flap and picot finishing. There are comprehensive instructions together with charts for the designs. Yarn required: 50g per sock
Tension : 34 inches and 44 rounds to give a 10cm square (in stocking stitch)

Yarn Ideas : The pattern has been created using Skein Queen Exquisite 4-ply sock yarn in Lulworth Cove and Deep Dark Forest. Other sock yarns can be used but the pattern lends itself to solid or semi solid colours.
