This pattern has been designed for us exclusively by Janet Cuthbert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of us opening The Yarn Cafe online shop in July 2021. Jan is an experienced designer and her favourite method of knitting socks is using 5 DPNs and from the cuff down, with a heel flap and gusset shaping.
Jan's brief was to design a pattern using our birthday yarn and to reflect a beverage (in line with The Yarn Cafe Theme). We think the waves perfectly reflect waves of steam with eyelet holes in the foam of a latte. The design would work well with plain yarn and variegated and picks up individual stitches representing the bluebell theme of the birthday yarn.
The pattern gives instructions for knitting a sock from the instructions and from a chart.
