The Yarn Cafe are excited to launch "Shades of Heavensphere", a series of hand-dyed yarn in our exclusive Heavensphere luxury sock yarn. We have had a new yarn spun exclusively for us by John Arbon. The yarn is 4-ply sock yarn and approximately 425 metres per 100g skein. It consists of 60% organically farmed Polwarth, 25% Alpaca and 15% Nylon.
It is available today (25 January 2016) at The Yarn Cafe in a natural shade (perfect for dyeing) and in "Shades of Red", produced exclusively for us by The Knitting Goddess. The Knitting Goddess is run by Joy & Bobbie. They specialise in hand dyeing British yarn from UK mills. They have love of combining colours, so getting to dye variegated yarns is the perfect job.
"Shades of Red" is the first in a series of colours produced in our Heavensphere yarn by hand-dyers. Each month, there will be a different shade (and dyer) who will be producing a maximum of 10 skeins of a shade.
